This is commonly referred to as a scapegoat 
. A scapegoat stands for Jesus himself who took our sins upon him and died on the cross for us.
7 And he shall take the two goats, and present them before the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
8 And Aaron shall cast lots upon the two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
9 And Aaron shall bring the goat upon which the LORD’S lot fell, and offer him for a sin offering.
10 But the goat, on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make an atonement with him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the wilderness.
This scapegoat was led by a fit man into the wilderness. The goat carried all the sins away from God’s people. Today, Jesus’ blood has washed away all our sins, past, present and future. Sin isn’t an issue anymore. The issue is believing in the completed work of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ who became our scapegoat.
Lev 16:21-22 KJV
21 And Aaron shall lay both his hands upon the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in all their sins, putting them upon the head of the goat, and shall send him away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness:
22 And the goat shall bear upon him all their iniquities unto a land not inhabited: and he shall let go the goat in the wilderness.
God says that all our sins and iniquities shall he remember no more. This is because Jesus took them all and nailed them on his cross.
Heb 8:12 KJV For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 10:16-17 KJV
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Jesus suffered outside the gates of Jerusalem and that suffering was symbolised by the death of the scapegoat in the wilderness as it was torn by beasts.
Heb 13:12-13 ISV
12 That is why Jesus, in order to sanctify the people by his own blood, also suffered outside the city gate.
13 Therefore go to him outside the camp and endure the insults he endured.
The word of God is now written in our hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit. Our conscience should no longer be based on right or wrong but on God’s revealed word which washes us as often as we hear it. That word brings faith without which no one can please God.
Heb 11:6 KJV But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
This faith comes when one’s mindset is stayed on God’s word.
Rom 10:17 KJV So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Perfect peace prevails in the heart of a person whose mind is stayed on God. That mind must be filled with God’s word for that peace to prevail.
Isa 26:3 KJV Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
When the word of God or his law is in your spirit and in your mind, nothing can ever move you.

In the prophetic realm, a goat not only stands for Jesus himself but also stands for strength. A goat also stands for lust, pride and apostasy. A goat can also represent Satan himself as he likes to appear as the head of a goat inside a hexagram. At the end of the ages, goats will burn in hell and sheep will live with Jesus.
Mat 25:33-34 KJV
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
SATYR
This is a goat that represents Satan. It’s a demon that looks like a goat and represents the office of Satan when worshipped by wicked people.
Esau was under the influence of the Satyr spirit. That’s why God hated him but loved Jacob.
Rom 9:13 KJV As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
The word ESAU means hairy and the word EDOM means red. This guy looked exactly like a demon. He was red in colour but as hairy as a shaggy goat.
Gen 27:11 KJV And Jacob said to Rebekah his mother, Behold, Esau my brother is a hairy man (SAIR or SATYR), and I am a smooth man:
When Rebecca clothed Jacob in goatskin, she was merely fulfilling the prophetic destiny of Esau. Esau was a mountain goat and that’s why his dominion was called Mount Sair or Satyr.
Gen 36:8 KJV Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
Mountain goats are a puzzle in the prophetic realm. This is because they symbolise demons but they also symbolise victory. Jael is the Hebrew word for mountain goat. Jael defeated Sisera by pinning his head to the ground by use of a nail.
Jdg 4:21 KJV Then Jael Heber’s wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.
You ought to constantly depend on the Holy Spirit to help you know how to interpret the signs of goats, whether they are Satyrs, Jael or scapegoats.
The satyr demon is shaggy and all hairy. The descendants of Esau or Edom or Seir became seeds of the serpent and were punished by use of the very Satyr demons and lilith that they worshiped.
Isa 34:14 ISV And desert creatures will meet with hyenas, and goat-demons will call out to each other. There also Liliths will settle, and find for themselves a resting place.
Hyenas stand for demons of greed and filth. The scripture above classifies Hyenas with goat demons (SATYRS) and LILITH.
Lilith is a sex demon that manifests as spiritual spouses, either male or female. She’s responsible for barrenness, miscarriages, divorces, lack of affection in marriage relationships, yiest infection, fungal infections, STIs (sexually transmitted infections), prostrate cancer, low sperm count, erectile malfunctions and all sorts of reproductive health problems. Deliverance is the way to deal with these spirits.
In some cases, lilith manifests as a SIREN (seductive water spirit that looks like a beautiful woman with a sweet voice). This spirit lures men to their destruction. It works in collaboration with mermaid 
or DAGON spirits. Dagon was worshipped by the Philistines and was half fish and half man. It was responsible for fertility and sex rituals.
Lilith is responsible for masturbation and fills people’s minds with erotic thoughts.
As a prophetic person, you need to cast out these spirits beginning with the goat all the way to hyena and then lilith and her minions. Hyenas stand for gender confusion as the female ones have a pseudo penis. As a result, they are thought to be hermaphrodite. They also stand for fear and cowardice.
